Set It Free

"If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, it’s yours.
If it doesn’t, it never was."

A saying without a clear source. Some say it is an old ancient Chinese proverb. Regardless, it expresses the heart of the matter of a love that doesn’t wish to control. If one is to respond in the purest kind of love, it will flow from a sense of the purest kind of freedom.

Just a final thought as we get ready to leave for Myrtle Beach and a week of vacation with the entire family.

Grace & peace……and love that flows from freedom.

It’s the only love that’s real. Have a great vacation Steve. I’m still driving the bus for the rest of this week then I’m mostly free for the summer.

“it expresses the heart of the matter of a love that doesn’t wish to control.” (Steve)

This is something I have been trying to live for as long as I can remember (1995 maybe) - since human control is such an atrocious thing and actually harms true love. I guess for me this issue is a very deep one since I have seen so much control of others in my community that just harms people - and I wanted to know what was the greatness of love in the other direction - that allowed for freedom of expression and love. I haven’t fully realized it but I am very happy to trod this road.
