As the Lord renews our minds to the Truth of the Gospel of grace and peace, we see less and less of the "devil" and more of Jesus. If some verse in Revelation seems to indicate it is future as mentioned by Shelly, then we have to look at Revelation and see when that whole event happened. It is a revelation of Jesus Christ to John and he received that revelation on the "Lord's Day". He penned it on the Isle of Patmos but he saw it on the day of the cross which is the Lord's Day. John was on the Isle of Patmos because of what he saw on the day Christ died and because he preached that, he was exiled. If he only saw this after he was exiled, then verse 2 of chapter 1 would not make sense because he died on the Isle and he would not have had anyone to testify of this to. We must remember that the first verse of Revelation says what the book is about.......it is a revelation OF Jesus and it shows what John saw coming upon Jesus when He hung on the cross.
