The only thing that remained when I started this journey was this foundation.... Jesus and Him Crucified! That I can say at this point will for me NEVER change. So I understand how your friend had to through it all out, even the baby! Because quite frankly the baby of "evangelical christianity" is a MONSTER! and it needed to be thrown out AND destroyed! Which is what Jesus did! It is too bad that the monster Jesus destroyed i.e. THE LAW the church for 2006 years has been trying to breathe life into! Kevin, THANK YOU! I love him, but the snoring..?...UGH!!!!!!!!!! So, I am up and I am thinking about where I am at right now in this journey. I find more and more everyday this confidence in myself. I am happy. Even with some of the issues and struggles in my life...I am happy with who I am. Each day is becoming more and more successful. I wake up and I am immediately careful and gentle with each step I take. I think before I speak. I stop myself more often before saying something judgemental or crude and I am accepting of myself all at the same time. I am not questioning myself. I am answering myself and WOW is it freeing. I am 32 and if I died tomorrow I would die a happy 32 year old amazing woman who love much and laughed often. Do you think that when we die we still snore? LOL This is kind of cool...thinking in the peace of the night and sharing it with all of you. I am working on a blog post about a friend of mine at work who is and has always been in to the spiritual wold of things. So when I saw this it reminded me of my friend. I am going to give this to my buddy he will love this. By the way after a while he emailed me and told me that after sharing like we had for the last year or so he realized that he may have through the baby out with the bath water when he rejected Christianity years ago.
