Heaven Letters

God said:
What a blessing you are to Me. I take comfort in you. Of course, I am speaking as if I were a Human Being who does not always have comfort. I am, of course, way beyond comfort, for I am in a state of total bliss. I know nothing else. I have no comparison to make. Yet I am sitting across from you now, speaking on your level. Here I am, God, sitting with you knee to knee, as if you were separate from Me. All this relative world is as if. Meanwhile, let Us enjoy.

"Beloved," I say. "I take great joy in you. You fill My heart that is already full of joy with more joy. It feels sweet to Me to have you across from Me, One to one, or beside Me or within Me. The thing is, you are precious to Me. You are a boon to Me, I, Who need no boons."

"God," you say, "As I hear your words, I feel them. I feel great stirring of love in my heart. Yet I find Your words hard to believe and easy to forget."

I say to you, "That is because the world has thrust other thoughts into your mind. You have been indoctrinated with the idea that you are not really wonderful. You have been indoctrinated that you lack some qualities, and that you are less because of this. You know, My beloved, the world has not thought so well of itself. How could it love, appreciate, and uplift you as you deserve? I, on the other hand, think well of Myself, and so it is easy for Me to see you in My light and to embrace you, My beautiful child, in the totality that you really are."

You say, "But, God, You placed me here in this world of poor perception where I would not be seen as You would have me see and be seen."

I say, "Yes, you are here on Earth as an Earthling. I gave you an assignment. I asked you to find out Who you are. By living in the forest of the world, you would disentangle yourself from the underbrush and begin to see yourself as I do see you. That means you have great opportunity to see through the mist and note yourself as one who stands tall and straight as a tree. I can tell you again and again that you are love, and yet you have to discover that yourself. Through the brambles, you will begin to see.

"I say you are love, and you may think you are heartless rather than full of love. This shows how off-track you have been. The love you seek so strenuously outside you is the love you already contain, the love that you are full of, are made of, are the embodiment of.

"When you do see with eyes of love, you will see as I do see. You will see the bright light you are. You will see more than flesh and bone. You will see more than good intentions. Your heart will be lighted, and you will begin to see the Vastness that you are, that I AM, that We ARE. You will, plain and simple, begin to see with the eyes of love that always were. It is as if you had been wearing dark glasses, and now you have taken them off.

"It is like you were clad in beggar’s rags one minute and then, suddenly, you are wearing the silks of a prince. Never mind what you have seen in the past. See now."

Now, beloved, I take your hand to My lips, and I place My hand on your heart, and now you will blossom and grow as a Child of God can grow. And so you do, My fledgling angel. And now you fly buoyed by your own heart. Now you encircle the world to heap blessings on it. And now you are blessed.

I am convinced that relationship with God ONLY begins when our minds are saved from the lie that God is angry with us (and can only be appeased by our submission to him).

Fear creates slaves. And I can’t believe for a minute that God wants slaves. The message of the Cross speaks to me clearly… God wants us as his friends.

“What greater act of love can one show for his friends, than to lay down his life for them?”

This is the power of the Gospel of Grace, the message of the Cross of Christ, the Story of Jesus!

THAT will set you free, my friend!

There is a way that seems right unto man, but the ways of that thinking lead’s to death.

We have heard that before many of time’s.But what is the way that lead’s unto death.?

You call it , the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

But who bore that death to bring us to life?Jesus!!!!

Did he not say? that he was the way the truth and the life?

Yes he did.Out of our mindset, we thought that we where ever going to be separated from God our Father in our mind’s forever.

    Christ redeemed the entire creation.

What does it say in col.1v20-22,..20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

It was christs faith and performance that redeemed the entire world. Not our faith. Our faith only enmbrace’s his faith.

I live by his faith and so do you and the entire creation.

Peace to all who embrace his faith and to those who don’t .

We are all one in christ, glory to God.

Good to hear from you Eddie. It’s funny, I was just thinking about you the other day… wondering how you were doing. I decided I’d give you a call, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’m so lazy sometimes! Is your number still the same?

Your comment reminds me of a friend I was talking to about handheld GPS systems to use for our hikes in the woods. He asked why I thought he needed one, and I said “so you’ll know where you’re at”! And he said, “I always know where I’m at. I’m always right here.” haha

John, Eddie is a good, good, good old friend of ours who taught us a great deal about God’s grace. And he is testing that grace right now in his own life, in a very personal way. And I think he’ll continue to find that true love never fails, and never abandons, and never requires.

    Love ya, brudders and sistas!

Eddie! :D ‘Tis very good to hear from you. I hope you and yours are doing well.

    He’s my favourite atheist, too.

John, go to the Web Archive and look up edgeoffaith.com/blog.html and you can access some of Eddie’s old posts. The fella is VERY sharp in a good way, IMO. *nods*

Yikes, you guys make me feel good. I miss blogging, but raising a family is hard work, and blogging took a back seat. I still miss “grace” and my grace friends, and all that YOU, my friends are. I can never let go of you, even though I let go of god …

    Eddie,
THANK GOD! hahaha! That you have not let go of us! We may very well be delusional in our thoughts about who or what God is or is not. But one thing we are not delusional about is our love for you! IMHO you are as I have said in the past one of the most spiritual people I know.

    Peace
    Geo

Yikes, you guys make me feel good.

Hey Eddie, The reason you feel good is because YOU ARE GOOD!
Now does that mean when I feel bad that I am bad? NO! What is means is when we feel bad about ourselves or others we have temporarily lost our self compass. The human race IS GOOD! We have just let outside influences knock us off course. But when we look to that part deep within ourselves we know that goodness is what we are. Love to you my GOOD Friend.

    Peace
    Geo

This was good I was reading one of heaven letters the other day and it was saying how we need to give love instead of looking for it
That really hit me. All the love we need is already inside of us and we have to stop looking outside ourselves for it.
I still have a long way to go in understanding this but I will get there
Cliff you are so right the battle is in our minds
    Good one

    Jenn,

We all have a long way to go but I have no doubts we will all get there. Even though I don’t want it or ask for it I do realize that the pains we go through in this life are what teaches us the most.

You are so right we all have a long way to go
And all the pain we go through does teach us the most.
Even though we may not undersatand why or the hows of our actions sometimes or other peoples, the one thing we will always have peace of is God’s love for us and that He is in control.
    His Grace is SUFFICENT always.
