Im curious, what is the difference between your interpretation of the Gospel and someone elses? Also why Jesus, why not someone else? I heard C.S. Lewis say once. Liar, Lunatic or Lord, Im wondering if maybe he was all three.
You’re right, Geo. The gospel of the church torments you to surrender to an angry God. Problem is, how can any of us be sure we’ve surrendered enough? That’s the catch, you can’t. And that’s what the church relies on, that’s what keeps it alive and running. They can’t set you free from fear and doubt because it would also likely set you free from them and their control/manipulation. But, the gospel of Grace and Peace draws you deeply into His heart of pure Love, free to enjoy life with Him without fear.

Good question John T.!
My answer would be this.
Have you read any of the post here at Bold Grace? If not please go back and read some of them and then you tell me what the difference is. I would hope after doing that it would be clear as to what the difference is. If it is not clear then maybe the people (me included) who write here need to reconsider what or how things are being said here? But I believe after reading through our archive the difference will be plain to see.
Thanks for the question and I wait with anticipation your answer to what you have concluded about this after going through the archives.
Peace
Geo
