To all the commentors and all that visit without comments, thanks for coming here to this site, not because it does something for me (even tho it does), but because every person (as Kevin says) becomes a voice for Grace and may drastically change someones life. Each of us has distinct personalities that allow us to reach certain people that only we could reach. It doesn't matter what your background, education, status, or skills, God will use every voice because his GRACE is sufficient. Somewhere in each of our worlds is a person that needs us. On the other hand there are those that each of us know it would be impossible for our particular personality to reach. And remember, we are not reaching out to anyone to convert them to anything other then the peace that comes from knowing we are all loved by God regardless of our performance. Thanks to each of you for all you do in furthering this bold news of a sufficient grace.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that is saving a redeemed wretch like me. I once was lost to the knowledge of this redemption, but now it has found me, I used to be blind to it, but now I see. It is truly amazing. It has set me free.

Acknowledging this Bold Grace has given me strength to be more understanding of my weaknesses. It has taught me to let go and let God take it all. It has taught me to learn more about who I am and trust in myself. It has taught me that I don't have to change someone. Your life is your life and it doesn't affect me. I affect me. Bold Grace is Freedom!

Hi guy's.great post cliff and comment's from my grace buddie's.

MAY THIS ALL INSPIRING GRACE BE SUFFICIENT IN YOUR LIFE

Your prayer has been answered cliff.
I live, move and have my being in it, 24 hour's a day every day.
He fill's up my weaknesses throught the power of his finished work on the cross.

SUFFICIENT grace is where we find true freedom and love, for God and for one another.

G&P
Beloved of the Lord of all.

I agree, John. That's what I mean when I say that I really don't think the cross "changed" anything, but instead revealed the state of God's heart toward his creation. He is in everyone of us, and those who become fortunate enough to realize it will experience a connection with God that will elevate us into His realm... His kingdom!

I strongly believe that everyone will realize their "God connection" at some point in their lives, and will find the peace we all seek.

Hi Bruce and all

I think more than anything Jesus was trying to point out to us that we are already there and everything is ok. No where to go nothing to do. Just be!

It strikes me as odd, how the fundamentalists say that grace is sufficient, but don't seem to believe it. Instead of seeing the message of the freeing power of Grace, they take Jesus' teachings as a recipe for salvation. They don't seem to realize that everything he did was prophetic to the coming revelation... the revelation of God communicating with his creation a message of love and hope and peace.

They say, "yes grace is sufficient" but if you don't ________ [fill in the blank with any number of rules / requirements / obligations], you will not fall under his grace! You will be rejected for eternity! It is clear that they don't have any understanding of grace, because placing any condition on grace reduces it to "earned favor", not grace.

I was talking to a friend about Jesus' sayings, and it occurred to me that much of what he was saying was really prophetic, even those sayings Christians see as a requirement. "You must be born again" wasn't requirement (or condition) for entering the kingdom of heaven, it was a prophecy! We can't be sure the writers of the gospels told the whole story anyway. Didn't John say that if everything Jesus said and did were written down, the volumes would cover the whole earth? (That might also be considered prophecy - He DID cover the whole earth!) My point is, maybe what Jesus was communicating was... "you must be born again, and because of the Cross of Christ, you will be, and you are!" It wasn't something we MUST DO, but something he would do on our behalf!

Jesus was the greatest Rabbi of the Jews. He taught the Law in new ways that brought clarity for many who felt they were successfully living within the law, and he killed them with it! The law does not bring life, it can't. And Jesus demonstrated that so clearly. But, did he come to condemn the world through the law? No, he came to destroy self-righteousness by showing us that no man can fulfill the law! He came to show us that, through the law, we are dead... through our own efforts, we are un-alive... we are simply dead. And many of us still are, because we don't understand what really happened those 2000 years ago. We can't accept the idea that the law was fulfilled in the Cross, and that it no longer applies, it no longer destroys! We can't accept that the act of the Christ was set us free from condemnation and death. We can't accept that God's grace is sufficient for Life! We don't believe it! So we continue to suffer under the Law. But not the Law of Judea (although some do), but the new law of religion, and religious thinking! We want a set of rules to follow to lead us to salvation because we don't trust the Cross! We want to be the controlling factor in our destiny with God, because we don't trust HIM!!!

Hi Cliff,
God's grace is always sufficient -- even when we don't believe it is. How awesome is that! Thanks for being a strong, clear voice for grace.

Blessings,
