My Grace Is Sufficient!

Bold Grace does not have it’s roots from any of us here at this site.  Bold Grace does not belong to the church or any other religion.  Bold Grace is something that no human being could ever have conceived because it is just too amazing.  The roots of Bold Grace can only be found in the God of ALL.  Not the God of the Christian, Muslin, Buddhists, Hindu, Mormon, or any other organization built and sustained by men.  Bold Grace does not bring out the best in us, rather it brings out the worst in us.  That may sound strange but history has proven this.  Our Perfect God came to us sharing his Perfect love and we tried our best to destroy Him because Bold Grace does not fit in with our plans of self righteousness.  Since that time those who speak of this Bold Grace are often threatened, maligned, and considered enemies of the church and yet this same God of ALL always gives us the same answer in all of our difficulties.  Paul the apostle tells us what He says:

2 Cor 12:9-10 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Let me say here as strongly as I can say it:  I AM NOTHING.  I DESERVE NOTHING.  I HAVE NO RIGHTEOUSNESS OF MY OWN NOR DO I CLAIM ANY.  What I do have is BOLD GRACE.  Bold Grace is never deserved but ALWAYS SUFFICIENT.  Bold Grace is what can walk us through every single weakness, every hardship, every insult, every persecution, every difficulty, and Bold Grace will never let us down.

Now I ask you, is the grace you are currently receiving sufficient to do all that?  If it depends on anything that has it’s roots from you (belief, church going, acts of righteousness, etc) then it will not be sufficient.  But if its roots are solely from the God of All then HIS POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS.

Paul had to be taught by God to understand this amazing Bold Grace that reaches the hearts of all, and God will teach us all.  I long for the day that those who proclaim Bold Grace will no longer find so many of their enemies to be the very ones who claim belief in the God of Love.  I am seeing more and more signs of this as Christians begin to question the pulpit of the church and ask the hard questions.  I am seeing more and more Christians who even when they disagree with our stand on Bold Grace they are still willing to accept us and even enjoy good conversation without condemnation.

MAY THIS ALL INSPIRING GRACE BE SUFFICIENT IN YOUR LIFE,

Cliff

    Hi Cliff,
God’s grace is always sufficient — even when we don’t believe it is. How awesome is that! Thanks for being a strong, clear voice for grace.

    Blessings,
    Kevin

Thanks Kevin. I know you are that voice for grace as well and I appreciate all that you write and do for the sufficiency of GRACE.

It strikes me as odd, how the fundamentalists say that grace is sufficient, but don’t seem to believe it. Instead of seeing the message of the freeing power of Grace, they take Jesus’ teachings as a recipe for salvation. They don’t seem to realize that everything he did was prophetic to the coming revelation… the revelation of God communicating with his creation a message of love and hope and peace.

They say, “yes grace is sufficient” but if you don’t ________ [fill in the blank with any number of rules / requirements / obligations], you will not fall under his grace! You will be rejected for eternity! It is clear that they don’t have any understanding of grace, because placing any condition on grace reduces it to “earned favor”, not grace.

I was talking to a friend about Jesus’ sayings, and it occurred to me that much of what he was saying was really prophetic, even those sayings Christians see as a requirement. “You must be born again” wasn’t requirement (or condition) for entering the kingdom of heaven, it was a prophecy! We can’t be sure the writers of the gospels told the whole story anyway. Didn’t John say that if everything Jesus said and did were written down, the volumes would cover the whole earth? (That might also be considered prophecy - He DID cover the whole earth!) My point is, maybe what Jesus was communicating was… “you must be born again, and because of the Cross of Christ, you will be, and you are!” It wasn’t something we MUST DO, but something he would do on our behalf!

Jesus was the greatest Rabbi of the Jews. He taught the Law in new ways that brought clarity for many who felt they were successfully living within the law, and he killed them with it! The law does not bring life, it can’t. And Jesus demonstrated that so clearly. But, did he come to condemn the world through the law? No, he came to destroy self-righteousness by showing us that no man can fulfill the law! He came to show us that, through the law, we are dead… through our own efforts, we are un-alive… we are simply dead. And many of us still are, because we don’t understand what really happened those 2000 years ago. We can’t accept the idea that the law was fulfilled in the Cross, and that it no longer applies, it no longer destroys! We can’t accept that the act of the Christ was set us free from condemnation and death. We can’t accept that God’s grace is sufficient for Life! We don’t believe it! So we continue to suffer under the Law. But not the Law of Judea (although some do), but the new law of religion, and religious thinking! We want a set of rules to follow to lead us to salvation because we don’t trust the Cross! We want to be the controlling factor in our destiny with God, because we don’t trust HIM!!!

    Hi Bruce and all

I think more than anything Jesus was trying to point out to us that we are already there and everything is ok. No where to go nothing to do. Just be!

    Luke 17:21

I agree, John. That’s what I mean when I say that I really don’t think the cross “changed” anything, but instead revealed the state of God’s heart toward his creation. He is in everyone of us, and those who become fortunate enough to realize it will experience a connection with God that will elevate us into His realm… His kingdom!

I strongly believe that everyone will realize their “God connection” at some point in their lives, and will find the peace we all seek.

Acknowledging this Bold Grace has given me strength to be more understanding of my weaknesses. It has taught me to let go and let God take it all. It has taught me to learn more about who I am and trust in myself. It has taught me that I don’t have to change someone. Your life is your life and it doesn’t affect me. I affect me. Bold Grace is Freedom!

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that is saving a redeemed wretch like me. I once was lost to the knowledge of this redemption, but now it has found me, I used to be blind to it, but now I see. It is truly amazing. It has set me free.

To all the commentors and all that visit without comments, thanks for coming here to this site, not because it does something for me (even tho it does), but because every person (as Kevin says) becomes a voice for Grace and may drastically change someones life. Each of us has distinct personalities that allow us to reach certain people that only we could reach. It doesn’t matter what your background, education, status, or skills, God will use every voice because his GRACE is sufficient. Somewhere in each of our worlds is a person that needs us. On the other hand there are those that each of us know it would be impossible for our particular personality to reach. And remember, we are not reaching out to anyone to convert them to anything other then the peace that comes from knowing we are all loved by God regardless of our performance. Thanks to each of you for all you do in furthering this bold news of a sufficient grace.
