The Master of My Thoughts-Part II
There is a reason why Jesus told us the following:
Mark 10:14-1514 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.15 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."Luke 10:2121 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.Matt 23:25-2625 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.
Remember from the last post that I believe the Kingdom we are to seek is the Kingdom of pure Thought that lies within each of us. This is why Jesus said the Kingdom belonged to children. Their thoughts have not been polluted by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil yet.
Jesus goes on to say this Kingdom of Pure Thought is hid from the wise and learned. By the way, he was talking about a VERY religious people. Religious people’s thoughts are so polluted by what’s good and what’s evil that they are completely blinded by the Kingdom of Pure Thought that already resides within them.
In the last set of scriptures I mentioned above Jesus tells these very religious people what they needed to do. He says they needed to clean the inside of the cup. The cup of a child is already clean because their thoughts have not yet been polluted with the idea that they need to do something to be pure. They instinctively know they already are pure. By cleaning the inside of the cup we are removing all the things that blind us from this kingdom of pure thought. He gave us the answer of what needs removed in the scripture above. "you have hidden these things from the wise and learned". We need to get rid of our wisdom and our learning and start being the Master of our own thoughts.
The wisdom and learning that blind people to the Kingdom are the things we have been taught from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil (religion). God never wanted us to go down that road but we chose to anyway. Jesus came to free us from our polluted thoughts and reveal to us the Kingdom of Pure Thought that EVERY single person has within them.
When you begin to reject this world’s view of what you should think and start to trust in your PERFECT creation you will be amazed at the peace you can have. Be the Master of Your Own Thougts……Jesus WAS!!!!!!
Part III coming soon!

Cliff sorry about that hit a wrong tap. Any way the book Iam reading by Brain McLaren Everything Must Change talks about what you are writing,
Love Dan
Thanks Dan…..I am putting it on my reading list but at present I am reading four different books.
I’ve definitely got a long way to go before I can honestly say I trust in my perfect creation, or that I’m Master of my thoughts. How’s this for “perfect”:
Just yesterday an elderly lady who lives in my neighborhood was out walking, and stopped by to quiz my wife & me as to who we were, how we liked living in our new home (only lived there 1 year & don’t know many folks), etc, etc. Well, it wasn’t two minutes into the conversation, this lady asks “Where do you all go to church?”, as if she just assumes everybody goes to church. Something in me that is obviously not my perfect creation felt like telling her to kiss my ass; what damn business is it of hers who I am or where I do or don’t go to church? Nosy people, I can’t stand them!!! I walked away with one of my children when she asked her question, and didn’t talk to her anymore. I let my wife finish talking with Mrs. Rigtheous.
Apparently, this question was as important to her as anything she could think of, because she went on & on with my wife about church things. (My wife still attends church services sometimes).
Anyhow, it left me in a pissy mood for the rest of the day. I guess I let things get under my skin too easily.
Jason, You just made my point that you let her be the master of your pure thoughts. Jesus constantly dealt with the self righteous and yet what kept him at peace was He knew who He was. He knew he was perfect in God’s eyes and he never doubted that because of what others thought about him. Yes, I know this is not easy because we have all been indoctrinated with the idea that we have to DO or BELIEVE something to be OK in God’s eyes, but the beginning of taking control of your thoughts is to remember that at every point from your beginning of physical life until it’s end you are loved perfectly by your Creator. As you believe this more and more those kinds of people will run off of you like water off a ducks back. Hang in there my friend.
A most interesting series, Cliff. You’re saying some new things I haven’t considered before. Looking forward to Part III!
Thanks Don R…..It’s always nice to be appreciated.
Forgot to thank Cliff for his continuing awesome posts on here. They are always inspirational to me, regardless of how my mood comes across in my posts.

I heard a good one that may help you in situations like that………….
“Resenting someone, is like letting them live rent free in your head”
Hi cliff hope you and your’s are well.I have been following along with what you have been sharing. My thought’s about my relationship with God and to my fellow man has changed big time since i came to the understanding of the finished work of the cross.I like where you are comming from in your post’s here.Jesus knew who he was as you say,and he want’s all to know who they are in relationship with God our father and our relationship to one another.
We are told to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Savior. But what we have to ask ourselve’s is,what does the knowledge of our Savior do for us?I used to think that i had to learn more about jesus, this to me was growing in my knowledge about him.But the way that i see that now is,that it is not me growing in my knowledge of him.But growing in his knowledge about me,and what he know’s about me.Are you with me here cliff?Jesus has a great knowledge about us all cliff that is why he sent his spirit of grace into all our heart’s causeing us to cry out, “abba Father” For that is who he is our Father. If we think that all our thought’s about him will lead us to some spiritual high. Then we are still blinded in our thought’s to our true indentity. It is when the mind begin’s to comprehend the savior’s knowledge about us.That is when the heart and the mind become’s established in grace. And that is where we find true peace and rest. Then as you have said,we can be the master of our own thought’s.
Looking forward to the next post.
Send my love to your Family.
