The world he was talking about there was the religious world of the Jews. The peace we find with him is when we understand regardless of what we do, say, or believe, he will never forsake us. It's amazing how when you really believe this it gives you a power to face all the obsticles of life. When I read those words though, I see something different. I guess in the end its all about perspective. I was thinking this morning, isnt it interesting how we only base our opinion of what Jesus was saying on approximately 3 yrs of his life. Boy would I have loved to know what he was like as a teenager. :) Cliff

It's the same as when He asked the Father if the cup could pass, but his follow up showed that he did indeed trust the Father because He said, "Not my will, but yours be done." I believe it's quite appropriate in our thinking process to question which way to go because there are often several directions we can take that are all of them OK.
