Challenge

There have been a lot of questions asked lately as to what we believe here at Bold Grace. So I have a challenge for all who POST, READ OR COMMENT HERE. Go to the link below

http://www.glennkleinonline.com/webcast/guests/mwilliams.html

and listen to the webcast dated 6-18-2008. Then you will have the answer to some of the questions that you ask of us here at Bold Grace. The men on the show are Glenn and Mike. They are two good friends of Bold Grace and proclaimers of The Gospel of Grace & Peace. Then come back here AFTER you listen to the show in its entirety and tell us what your thoughts are.

Peace

Geo

A great place to direct anyone. I haven’t listened to the last web cast yet but I will soon. If anyone wishes to know what the Gospel of Grace and Peace really is, then there is no better place then to go and listen to Mike Williams. An awesome teacher to say the least.

Although I haven’t been doing a lot of commenting on the site, I read pretty well daily and love the comments by Bruce/Geo/Cliff/Mindy. Also like to read other peoples perspective on where they stand and believe. It is quite easy to read and see the ones that understand grace and those that don’t. I understand both sides as I have been on both sides. Most of us have.

The freedom that has come into my heart when I began seeing this great Gospel is something not easy to express as I believe it has to be something that happens as the Lord reveals Himself in us. When that happens, although there may be a fight to reject it, it is something that sets us free just as soon as we stop fighting it.

Let us be patient with those that do not see this yet and be thankful for the ones that are spreading this Gospel that has set us (them) free. It is like the wind….we don’t know where it comes from as we cannot see it but nevertheless, we know it is real.

Thanks for that testimony, Roy. I never tire of hearing of the amazing transformation in lives because of the gospel of grace and peace. I hear what you’re saying about being patient with those who aren’t ready to hear it, though. It’s hard to interact clearly in this medium, and attempts to share this good news can often be received with offense. The old adage is true, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

I did go and listen to the webcast. It was hard for me to come to any conclusions about the particular beliefs of the men who were conversing. Perhaps because I am more of a visual learner than an auditory one. I just felt like I had come into the middle of a conversation and it was difficult to follow. They seemed to be having a good time, though. :)

I will add that I could relate to much of what they had to say and have many of the same feelings they expressed - like the feeling that I don’t really have anything to accomplish, that it’s just fun hanging out to see what happens next, especially in the lives of my kids and grandkids. I also feel much of the freedom, peace, and joy that they seemed to have. The main difference I found in my thinking and theirs is that I see the church in a different way than they do.
