The Worst Kind Of Evil!
I’m not sure how to describe what "EVIL" really is especially since for me I believe at least in theory that the universe is perfect. This I do know, that man’s mind has been contaminated with a great deal of misunderstanding of GOOD & EVIL and that contamination often leads us down pathways that are very unproductive.
For me, one of the worst kinds of evil (unproductive pathways) is organized religion. I say this because organized religion (the church) has the appearance great good. Men and women preaching with such beauty and grace and yet hidden in their message is the greatest of evils. They speak of God’s love and then they do their best to bind the people with fear of HELL FIRE if they do not comply. Paul spoke of this great evil in the passage below:
2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
If you study the chapter Paul was speaking from he’s talking about those who were preaching another gospel, one mixing Law and Grace, and Paul clearly stands against such a complicated false gospel. He reminds them of the simplicity of the Gospel of Christ.
2 Cor 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
The mind that has been freed from law finds it’s peace from the simplicity that is in Christ. Can anyone out there who is still involved in organized religion (the church) really say in all seriousness that the gospel the church preaches is simple?
Again, the word Gospel means "GOOD NEWS", and the good news is simply that Christ died for ALL. He didn’t just die for those who think they figured out the magic formula, and by the way I have yet to have a Christian who could explain what that magic formula is.
Yes, I believe the worst kind of evil is an evil that is shrouded in good and that describes the organized church to the T. Are there exceptions to this? Absolutely, and KUDOS to any organized group of Christians out there that is preaching the gospel of grace and peace that includes ALL that Jesus died for, and HE DIED FOR ALL.
Recently someone told my grandchildren that they don’t believe in Jesus because of their grandfather (me). This person attends church and has obviously judged me because I won’t conform to the status quo. I’m just glad I live in a day and age where that same type of person would have me burned at the stake for my belief in a God who loves us ALL (even that person) regardless of our performance.
When will we all wake up from the nightmare created from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil? When will we all come to the beauty of the simplicity that is in Christ, and realize that He has set us free? As I said earlier, I believe God is Perfect and so is the process we are all going through and some beautiful moment in each of our futures we will be awakened and our response will be to fall down in utter praise for a LOVE that is beyond words.
Until that time I will continue to preach this simple gospel of grace and peace to all who will listen.

The best thing you have ever done for me is to teach me to love which is why I questioned religion all of my life. Those people scared the hell out of me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for giving me the freedom to think for myself. I will never take my child to church. My child will never fear God or think that she has to ask for forgiveness to feel better about herself and feel better about her relationship with God. Thank you!!!!!!!!
Cliff I times just asking why go on because of all the people that are hurting and hurting one another.Plus the church not preaching and teaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Then God’s love and grace comes to mind from my heart and reminds me that His love is greater then anything and there is nothing that can truly stop it.Cliff I can’t count the times that God has used bold grace to truly touch my heart with unconditional love that keeps encouaging my heart and mind.
I believe that God true love and grace is opening more people hearts and minds like we never see before even when it looks like things are get worse.
Love in Christ Dan

Cliff,
I AGREE WITH THIS PERSON!
WHAT!!!????
Geo agrees with such a statement? YES I DO! But in a different way.
Cliff,
It is through people like you and Mike Williams and Kevin Beck etc…. That I have come to see that belief “in” Jesus is one of the main blockages people have to understanding The Gospel of Grace & Peace
I NO LONGER BELIEVE “IN” JESUS!
But I DO BELIEVE IN THE “FAITH OF JESUS”! That small tweak is one that will set people free to be free as the Apostle Paul says. It is one I cannot explain to others but like they say about pornography “I can’t define it but I know when I see it”! And I have seen the “faith of Jesus” and it is never ending and once discovered by so called christians they to will no longer be believers “in” Jesus but will become
accepters of “HIS FAITH” and abandon their own self righteous belief “in” Jesus. And on that day they will sing in the words of MLK, “Free at last, Free at last, Thank God Almighty I am free at last”!
Your Unbelieving Brother
Geo
Well said Geo. You make an important point that our belief IN Jesus can be another form of self righteousness. We may believe in HIM but our own personal belief always falls short in this body of flesh, but HIS faith did not, thank God.
Hello Cliff,
I breathe to you and yours the love and blessing and Gloooory and wonder of the joy of the faith in Christ: our way, our truth, our life. Thanks for writing from the heart of peace such words of grace and freedom. Please forgive my resurrection of some of these older posts; I stumbled across the BoldGrace site yesterday for the first time, and reading these loving things makes me very happy and eager to bless you all.
We will be free from the cursed fruit of the knowledge of good and evil when we turn from that tree to the tree of Life, our Jesus, in whom the Father has reconciled all things to himself forever, amen. The way is now open; shall we choose Life, together, laughing, as what’s left of the old creation crumbles away like the dry husk it is?
Indeed the life we live in this body we live by the faith the son of God; not by our faith the son of God, as some say. In every case let us always agree in heart, mind, soul, and strength with what God has declared concerning the redemption of all men, holding fast to the word of truth in us; the seal of things declared but not yet manifest, until the Day dawns, and the Morningstar rises in our hearts. I love you brothers in the name of Jesus. your brother alan
I see a crucial word or two is missing. Should read “the faith OF the son of God, not by our faith IN the son fo God, as some say.” Tried to use angle brackets for emphasis, not realizing that html might treat them strangely.
love, b.a.
Thanks for your encouraging words brother alan.
