Who Walks Among Us?
My wife and I were having a conversation about the last post on personal faith and I expressed how walking in that faith made it much easier for me to see the opportunities in each day to learn knowing that God’s will is always to fill me with unlimited light. Then she said something that was full of inspiration for me. She said: "Maybe everyone is not here to learn, maybe some are here only to teach."
As some of you know I have been studying the idea of reincarnation mainly because I so strongly believe our purpose on earth is to learn and I find it difficult to believe we learn all we need to in just one lifetime. When she said that some may only be here to teach it made me realize that none of us really know who we may be walking with on any given day or why they are here on earth. Even the bible talks about being careful because you might be entertaining Angels. The word Angel simply means "messenger of God". That’s really what a teacher is all about, to bring a message to someone to help them learn. I still believe that most of us are here in this journey to learn whatever we need to learn for whatever is next but something in my heart leaped when she made that statement about teachers. If it is possible that some are only here to teach then it’s also possible that others might be on this journey for other reasons that we are really not aware of.
Anyway, I just thought her statement was quite interesting and it has made me rethink just who really is among us on this journey we call life?

I think your an angel
RIGHT ON CLIFF !
A revelation is an awakening from our blindness as we become aware of that which is already there.
The revelation and energy of the personality of Jesus Christ is not in the words we write or in the
interpretation and revelation of scripture. It is recognized in our relationship and in the progressively
visible demonstration and potency of the compassionate healing power, inherent in HIS Life, that WE
Live. The rejuvenation and restoration of the Spirit within, allows us to exhibit more and more of His
glory as we learn how to respond, with compassion, to the senses of the Spirit.
Let us realize that what we write today, as we mature in Him, may be upgraded in His infinite wisdom,
by tomorrow.
The greatest bondage in Christendom is what we think we know about God. If we are not free from the
idolatry of superstition, tradition, doctrine, and yes, even from the pride of our own revelations, so that
God can perform His purpose through us, then what we believe about God matters little.
As God develops our view into the various facets of the “Diamond of Truth,” from different perspectives,
we begin to see its inner brilliance burst forth exponentially, through the many polished aspects of its
spontaneous design.
If we, because of our undeveloped vision or by separation, see dimly and presume only one facet as the
whole, we miss the pulsating fire of the complete and perfect jewel. Therefore, to enjoy God’s
understanding, and to think like Him, we must dare to abandon ourselves to Him, as we allow Him to
change us from within. This can be hazardous to a stagnant belief system.
This maturing Spirit of Truth is the magnet that draws us to the completeness of God’s exegesis. It is not
subject to, altered, or impaired by doctrine, theory, or belief. When we have finally been convinced of
Truth’s reality, we no longer are compelled to prove it.

the title and content remain unchanged. This is but a few of the treasures that I have found, and it
represents a specific period of time in the development of my portion of Spirit perception. These words
are not written as doctrine or as something that you must believe. I simply share them with you, as
would a guide on our journey to the Ultimate Restoration of ALL things, enabling you to explore and be
uplifted by the magnificence and grandeur of Omnipotent Creation.
This facet of the Diamond of Truth, as it applies to the continuing maturity of the Spirit within me, is an
intrinsic revelation to, and is inherent in, my nature and experience as one of God’s Unique Creations.

The more I find the way of grace / love working within me, the less judgmental I seem to be becoming. The less judgmental I become the more I seem to truly be ‘teachable’. Being teachable is taking on a different meaning now I think. It used to be confined to hearing someone’s instructions / advice / counsel and trying to apply it based on my own opinion of how ’spiritual’ they were… and usually that was after I was able to process things and make sure it didn’t conflict with my theology. Now I’m finding that I am learning in ways I never would have imagined. Sometimes by someone ’spiritual’ but more often by someone who is not even aware they are ‘teaching’ anyone anything. Also, it may not be a person at all. I’m finding myself learning while watching an entertaining movie (sometimes not G rated…. gasp!). Sometimes by merely observing people, places, things, nature. Bottom line… I hope that 6 months from now I’m much more teachable than I am now. And in 6 years… and…
OK Wes… you posted that while I was fumbling around with my thoughts and posting them. After reading that I can only say:
WOW.
Thanks Wes for sharing with us all. Thanks Audrey for keeping us grounded in the heart. Thanks Toby for always having words of wisdom. And Thank you Mindy for always making me feel like an Angel.
Hi Cliff! Haven’t checked in with you for awhile, so thought I’d say hello. To comment on your post, I can’t say I’ve ever personally met anyone who was only here to teach. Though I’ve met some who THOUGHT they had nothing left to learn and were here just to teach everybody else! Usually I try to distance myself from that kind of person as quickly as possible!
Actually, if there ever was a person who was only here to teach and had nothing left to learn, I imagine he would be a person of humility and openness, a reflective listener, and would use words quietly and judiciously. Kind of like Jesus.
I agree Connie. I doubt if any of us ever really see the teachers among us. It was obvious the first century completely missed the true identity of Jesus.
Just a question for curiosity’s sake???? Do you believe there are Angels that walk among us? Anyone can feel feel free to answer that one.
Married one!
I believe it is possible that angels walk among us. I do not know that I have ever crossed paths with one, though I may have and not recognized him as such. I do know people that I consider reliable who believe that they have been sent an angel who helped them in a time of dire need. Who am I to deny it? There are even some scriptures which might indicate this, though I can’t remember them offhand.
I think that the learning only stops after they throw the dirt on our face.
Steve Martin said: “I think that the learning only stops after they throw the dirt on our face.”
I don’t think the real identity of who we are ever stops learning.
Cliff
Perhaps Steve at that point real learning begins..
Cliff, Marco,
You may be absolutely right!
There , you see…I learnt something!
“Do you believe there are Angels that walk among us?”
Yes I do. But I’m pretty sure that my ex-wife isn’t one of them!
I am pretty sure my wife isn`t either, but I love her anyway, I`ll take her over an angel anyday, it doesn`t hurt that I am no saint either
