I cant be there my freind, but ill give you a song to listen to after your belly is full , and the moon and stars are in your eyes.
Every time I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by, like dusk to dawn
Isn’t that the way
Everybody’s got their dues in life to pay
Yeah, I know nobody knows
where it comes and where it goes
I know it’s everybody’s sin
You got to lose to know how to win
Half my life’s
in books’ written pages
Lived and learned from fools and
from sages
You know it’s true
All the things come back to you
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away
Yeah, sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dream comes true
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dream comes through
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On, AHHHHHHH
Sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away
Sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away……
Love always Geo

Right now it’s Friday here so I’m wishing you all a great time over the weekend, with lots of ‘up-lifting’ moments as you share food laughter and love. Too far for me to come, but one day soon, when we truly come into all that the spirit has for us, I’ll be able to drop in and enjoy being with you, often!
Your too cool Audrey!
Love always
As you thank Geo this week end for his overcooked pork and his burnt chicken, remember to ask yourself how can tomorrow be better then today.
I KNOW ITS hard to beat Geos burnt pig and crispy flied chicken, but the next person you meet may want to taste what you take for granted.
Party on , my friends…
Love on
Hey Doug
We had practice night last night. But the pig and chicken were not included. We practiced how much alcohol can we drink and remain coherent! hahaha!
Wish you and ALL the Hazelbaker’s could be here! Of course it’s still not to late to change your mind! I will be watching the driveway all day saturday for that Indiana vehicle.
Peace
Geo
I hope all of you have an incredible weekend!! George, I Love you soo much! Drink one for me and don’t forget to eat a pepper for me as well. I wish Dad and I could have received a t-shirt for getting into the hot pepper club. LOL That shit was hot but made the beer taste good.
Yep, Bev, Brian my neighbor & I will be coming with Margaritas, beer & Ritz Cherry Desert in hand. We will probably leave home around 11 am so that our dog won’t be pinned up so long. So we should see you about 12:30. Can’t wait to see you all.
Geo
Thanks for the offer of the Pig Roast. Unfortunately we cant make it, but have a great time and please remember us for next year. Better chance we could make it then.
John and Denise.
I attended my family reunion today as millions of others did in this great country. A few years ago I was ask to give my opinion of what i thought family meant prior to attending the reunion. I sent a letter stating my thoughts, I cant recall what that letter said , but I’m sure it said that family is a blood connection between people, that it is a genetic bond of people held together by a history.
My thoughts tonight are much different. I watched grammas and grampa’s, moms and dads, uncles and aunts, sisters and brothers, cousins and nieces and the babies of all of those, dance in a in a perfect harmony of love. A love not found by history, a love not found by genetics, a love not found by a blood bonds, but a family of love that is simply from the pure of heart, always protecting, and always accepting.
Thank you Grandma Mabel
I know you hate my one last thought, but try to suffer through. I believe that God gives us subtle examples of how to feel, how to live, and how to die.
So next time you watch a flower spout and you see the first blossom, then the second, then four, then more then you can count ask yourself which one is more perfect to God.
Love always
OK, I’m not quit done. Today i stopped at a rest stop cause paw pa needed a cigarette, but my little perfect star found his new environment to be the Disneyland of Indiana, it took 30 minutes to get him back to the car and i loved every minute of it, and i thought no one can feel what i feel.
Then at Danville i watched cousin Debs husband dance a dance with his grand babies as did many others and i knew i am just a part of what is forever felt by those that know pure love.
Love always
While you guys were enjoying your pig-roast over your long weekend, we in NZ had Father’s day. I want to share a special moment like those Doug has been describing – a moment of REALITY.
.
One of my sons brought his wife and 2 small boys to visit us. Sarah and I were left together as the ‘boys of 3 generations’ went off elsewhere to ‘do’ stuff with the kids.
.
We two sat in the winter sun on the verandah with a caraffe of red wine. I remember feeling a ‘distance’ in our relationship at the beginning of our conversation and put it down to that ‘mum-in-law respect’ thing, silently wishing it away.
.
And it went! Sarah has been through some soul-searching times, and she’s courageous. She was a solo mum for the first 8 years of her eldest son’s life – he is now 21, and it wasn’t long before she opened up and shared some of her deepest feelings and the catalysts that caused her to experience those feelings.
.
At one point she said, “I don’t have words to describe how I felt, happiness doesn’t fit because it’s much bigger and greater and better than any happiness I’ve had before!”
.
I suggested that perhaps it was a new language she was trying to express these feelings with. She very nearly bounced out of her chair, saying ‘That’s it! The old words are too cliched, they don’t present what I want to say in a ‘clean’ way. Yes, that’s it – a new song!’
.
At that moment the boys returned, but that moment of REALITY was not lost – it remained as a precious insight we had together as we recognized the spirit within connecting us in it’s flow and teaching us as we journey along.
.
She gave me a hug as they left to travel home and said ‘we shared a pretty special moment didn’t we?’
So beautiful Audrey, and it is those wonderful moments that you spoke of, that offer us the treasures of life, that each of us seek. As each of us follow our separate paths on our journey, it is important to remember that those glorious treasures are found not , day to day or month to month, but moment to moment.
Love always
Audrey,
That was incredible. I am in tears right now because I know what that connection is like and you are right…it is pretty special. I know you will have many more with her and that makes me so happy.
It looks like ya’ll had fun! We need to have something like this in the southeast
