Power of the gospel, those are powerful words, but what if you dont know the gospel? Are you powerless to feel Gods love?
A few weeks ago someone i love said to me,” I wish i could have a double portion of my mothers spirit like in the story of Elijah- Elisha.” I didnt know that bible story or any other , but i knew at the time that if she was wanting to feel the love that her mother had for God, and he had for her then it was a good thing.
That little tidbit of information about Elijah-Elisha laid in the back of my mind for a few weeks and then i finally looked the story up only to know that her desire is just, deserving, and already within her.
I will probably never know all them stories and verses in the gospel, and part of me is very frustrated that I waited till I was 60 years old to to allow myself to feel Gods love, but another part of me thinks that i would have never known the true beauty of his love any time sooner.
I may be on the same learning curve as my Rootbeer, but im ok with that because I know God dosent love me because of my knowledge, but because of my wisdom.
    Love always

Doug, You are one of the best storytellers I know. And your stories are just as valid as anyone else’s, including those recorded in the Bible.

As most of have already guessed i like the oldies music, and alot of its lyrics i hear with the spirit inside me This is one by Buffalo Springfield, “For what its worth”, and if you just change one word in its lyrics from Gun to bible it fits my spirit.

    There’s something happening here
What it is ain’t exactly clear
There’s a man with a bible over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it’s time we stop, children, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    There’s battle lines being drawn
    Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong
    Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
    Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
peace, love, brother man (boy if i could still grow a big blond fro)

There is someone im associated with right now that has had a bad go of it in life. He has lost everything, spent a considerable amount of time in jail, lost his diving privileges for 10 years, divorced, living with his mother.
Hes a young man to me, but in his early forties, he lost everything, but he is so smart, and he has an analytical mind that can figure any thing out if given enough information, and he knows that about himself, because he has let his brilliant mind see things clearly without the fog of alcohol and drugs. I’m not telling you this story to let you feel the desperation of a single soul that walks this earth because there are millions with similar stories, but im telling this story so that maybe i can find a way to answer the question he ask me today.
He said how can i lean more then i know if there is nobody to teach me?

What would you have said to him?
    love always

MC SAYS: A kittens birthday is celebrated upon the moment of its birth, and recorded in the heart of its creator, and felt by the kitten each day it feels the new dawn begin, and each day it is felt again.

The spirit of your heart was recorded before your first breath and will be there with your last one, the spirit of your heart was recorded with your first heartbeat, and will be there with your last one, the spirit of your heart was there before your first breath, and be there with your last one, the spirit of your heart was there with your first thought, and will be there with your last one. THE SPIRIT OF YOUR HEART BEGAN BEFORE YOU, BUT WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE FOR ALL ETERNITY, because it loves you endlessly, because you are part of Gods creation, and therefore always and forever protected by his love.

Last thought of the night will be of the thoughts of a bro a year ago.
A cat knows that each day is the best day of his life, there is nothing more to achieve, but man thinks that he has this life then a great eternity in heaven. Some think that the heaven is in him now and just continues after he sheds this clay shell. but i wounder.. about all of that,, hum. I think the cat is right that his life is moment to moment, but i wounder about mans life.
yah think you just dance this life and know matter what you learned you all of the sudden just are enlightened and given a perfect place in heaven… maybe or maybe you should learn from the cat and know that every day is a day that you can learn to live more, and man is giving life after life like a cat is given day after day to learn more and more till he feels the love of his spirit.
God takes every spirit and puts it into a woman’s womb, just like he did jesus, and he hold each one of them precious, but i dont think he takes any of them into his heart till they feel his love as much as he feels them.
I know im closer to to sitting on his lap then most of you because i dont smoke, but i may have to be a non smoker for a couple more lives before i can dance in his garden…. crazy huh.. THE GOOD THING IS I WONT SOUND ALL THAT CRAZY TO MOST NEXT TIME AROUND.

oh wait a minute.. what if each life is to teach you something, and if your an arrogant asshole then youll live a life in a body that will show you humility and compassion, if your self righteous then youll live your next life beat by the self righteous,,,.. and on and on till you live in the spirit of Gods love.. i really believe god dont give a dam about your human life till you feel the spirit within you.. crazy huh, but that’s just me, and im a non smoker.

I dont have the power of the gospel, i cant tantalize you with the knowledge of the doctrine, i cant comfort you with the words of Jesus, nor can i promise you happiness in this life with words from scriptures of a bible i haven’t read, but i can tell you that you are loved, you are protected, you are Gods perfect soul, and he is holding your hand till you know it, and he will always love you.

One of the things my dad told me is that Indians wouldn’t harm a crazy spirit, if a white man was acting crazy they would leave him alone because he was in touch with the a greater spirit. I dont know if dad told me that so that i would know that i was safe from Indian attack, or if he thought i had a greater spirit, but i never feared Indian attack, and i knew that he wasn’t telling me i was crazy, so i guess he was telling me i was special.

I love this life. Its been hard at times, and probably will be harder, and ill have to live with it, but its been so good sometimes, and everyday i get a chance to know that. I had lunch today with some of my baby girls,my brothers son(and mine now), my sister, my brother, my mother, and others that i love, and i got to feel them.
As old timers we sit and listen mostly, but it is beautiful to hear them, dancing there dance, and they share there little hearts, but they dont know how beautiful they are.
Its hard not to look at them and not see the little gangling duckling that you have always known, and realize they are the beauty of your own youth, and the truth of life, as you hope for them to feel the wisdom of there future.
I love this life, and its been hard at times, and will probably be harder…
BUT ITS BEEN SO GOOD SOMETIMES.

Is my little gangling ducklings listening?

Who will teach me what I dont know? WHO WILL TEACH ME WHAT I DONT KNOW?

My entire life whether i was a rose cutter, a tomato picker, a shoe salesman, a jet engine mechanic, an industrial mechanic, a supervisor, a production manager.. i live by one belief.. i would learn everything that the best in that job knew, plus a little bit more, and that always took me to the next level.

THE BEAUTIFUL PART OF LOVING GOD IS THERE IS KNOW BODY TO LEARN A LITTLE BIT MORE FROM, because everything you need to know you were born with.

Its hard for me tonight, or any night to go back to this date a year ago and look at the postings, and the comments. ON THIS DATE A YEAR AGO, Audrey, cliff sue don and others danced in the beauty of understanding, sharing hearts and encouragement.. most have left feeling they have nothing to share with those that have no knowledge of the gospel, but its all good because the power in the gospel my bro knew was never in the bible he toted around for 40 years, but in his heart that he had for 56 years.
    love you lishy

I FIND MYSELF TALKING TO MYSELF, AND MY WIFE TOLD ME THAT THE OTHER DAY, but if your a non smoker its ok because your mind is better to talk to then most..
I said something tonight that i questioned after i said it, because it was one of those… the world is flat sayins.. i said,, “God takes every spirit and puts it into a woman’s womb”.. what if a baby is born in a bottle, man can probably do that, so you know they will, so will it have a soul.. wow huh, my answer to that is if man can do it GOD WILL LOVE IT,AND YES IT WILL HAVE A SPIRIT TO FEEL HIS LOVE.
ONLY NON SMOKERS can think that deep
    really goodnight,, love always

Doug wrote that his friend asked:
WHO WILL TEACH ME WHAT I DON’T KNOW?

This is a hard saying to understand and I say it knowing the risk of being misunderstood. Here it is………….”When the student is ready the teacher will appear” It took me along time to grasp that saying and its meaning but for me I have found it to be true. When I was first told it I responded to the person by asking, “How will I know who or what that teacher is”? The answer was as HARD as the statement! The answer was…. “You will know”

    Peace

Doug, Geo said what I was going to say - “When the student is ready the teacher will appear.” (Can you believe we were actually thinking the same thing, Geo!) The difficult part is being ready to listen and learn. Most of us are too full of ourselves to really listen to those who could teach us. My prayer this year has been that God may grant me a clear mind, a kind heart, and a peaceful soul. Perhaps then I can recognize my teachers when they appear and learn from them.

I am listening Doug…I am listening. After lunch with you yesterday I drove home and for the most part smiled and laughed at all of the funny images of my Dad running through my head…all of a sudden I was filled with fear. -He was no longer with me physically. -How can I live my life without him? –OMG, what am I going to do?
SO, I drove to the river, parked the car, put a CD in that was titled, “mindy’s favs” and was written in my Fathers hand writing. I had taken the cd from his office and forgot I had it because I struggle to listen to my favorite songs since he has gone. I cried and I cried so hard it was as if I wasn’t going to see tomorrow. I felt I was losing all hope of the future. I had forgotten my dreams. I had layed all my cards on the table and was ready to fold when all of a sudden my friend Kathy suddenly text my phone. She asked me, “what are you doing now?” and at that point whether she realized it or not was my savior. I was having a moment of weakness and something told her to check on me. So, remember this…

    You were there for me
And the next time someone needs me …. I’ll be there for them and I will stay.
